Unanswered Bell

The Unanswered Bell is an ancient summoning rite centered around the ringing of a massive ritual bell.

When struck, the bell releases a thunderous tone that carries across valleys, ruins, and Hollowpaths, echoing far longer than any ordinary sound should. The resonance is said to travel beyond the physical world, calling out into deeper and older places.

Those who perform the rite do so as an act of invocation, attempting to draw the attention of an unknowable ancient power.

No record agrees on what the bell is meant to summon.

Many rites end with nothing more than the fading echo of the bell.

Yet among the few surviving accounts some claim the sound was answered.
